The Story Behind CoverMyNiche

The vision for CoverMyNiche didn't come from a boardroom or a business plan. It came from sitting at a trade show in 2018, listening to yet another vendor promise agencies they could "write more business." And that's when it hit me: everyone was focused on new business acquisition, but nobody was helping agents maximize the gold mine they already had—their existing customer relationships.

"Agencies spend years building customer databases, but they're not mining them for opportunity. They're leaving money on the table while chasing the next new policy. I knew there had to be a better way."

With extensive experience on both the carrier and agency side, I've seen the industry from every angle. I've sat in producer offices looking at their kids' pictures, understanding their goals. I've worked renewals, analyzed SIC codes, and helped build playbooks. And throughout it all, I kept seeing the same pattern: agents were becoming order-takers for generic business instead of building specialized expertise and leveraging their existing relationships.
